Day 40

Had a bit of a rough time keeping the scaled at 148.  It actually went up to 149 for a day or two.  Oh well, these things happen.  Today I was down to 147.6.  I’ll take it.  I realize things might go a bit slower now but I will continue on my journey.  I’m still working out, feeling great.  I have one major issue though.  I really don’t have anything to wear.  All the clothes my Mom bought me for my bday in May are now TOO big.  I have tons of stuff in my closet but most are size 8s and I’m just not there yet.

The other day, I went to work and tried on my work pants and really couldn’t wear them 12 and 14s.  I found a pair of slacks in there somewhere with the tags still on them (10 petite) and they fit perfectly.  Yeah.

Hopefully they will be too big sometime soon.

People are starting to notice and commenting.  It really makes my day.  One of my co-workers said she had to take a double take when she saw me.  :)   Yeah..that’s a good thing.

I’m still doing the cookies and NOT cheating.

Day 35

148.6!  Can’t beleive it.  On 1/1/07 I was 178…scary.  Almost 30 lbs heavier than I am today.  I’m starting to feel so much better.  I am definitely a size 10 now.  No more 12s or 14s.   Another month and I will be in the single digits.

When people ask me how much I have “lost” I am going to say I haven’t “lost” anything, I have REMOVED 30 lbs.  :)   I don’t plan on finding them any time soon.  :)

Got my turbo jam videos in the mail, can’t wait to try them.

Day 29

150.2 this morning.  So that means I’m .2 lbs away from hitting my goal for the first month.  Last night I was trying to figure out the last time I was under 150.  I think it was over 5 years ago, during my divorce.  That seems like so long ago.   So 14.8 lbs down this month and 27.8 down since the heighest weight.  30lbs (ish) to go!

The other day I saw a woman at the gym and I really liked the way she looked, toned but not too skinny.  She was about my height and age.  As we were leaving I saw her and her husband and I stopped her and asked her if I could ask her a personal question. She was very nice and said ’sure’.  So I exlpained that I thought we were about the same height and told her about my weight loss and how I have a goal but I have no idea what the number even looks like.  She told me she weighted about 115.  I was thinking more like 120 because she definitely had quite a bit of muscle.  She was VERY nice about it…I told her that she had inspired me to keep working out.  It’s true..she had.  I can now visualize what I might look like in a few months.

Hopefully one day, somoene will stop me and ask me how I did it or something similar.  :)

Day 26

Anyone out there?  I see that people are reading the blog but hardly ever any comments?  Let me know you are out there.

Day 25

Ok..have to go to Peter Piper Pizza tonight for a little party.  I just checked the calories for their pizza and it looks like a thin Ham/Pineapple pizza is 130 calories for 1 slice.  I’m going to do one slice for something a bit different.

My clothes are getting baggier so I know I”m losing.  I did 60 minutes of cardio yesterday and 45 minutes this morning.  Yeah for me.  I actually kind of…(KIND OF) like it.

My mom is down to 138.5!  That is so awesome ..she started at 155 5 weeks ago.  My BIL is down 28 lbs in 5 weeks…that’s crazy.

Day 23

Another easy day yesterday.  When I got homoe I was a bit tired and almost didn’t excersice.  We decided to just do some rollerblading with the puppies.  Burned about 200 calories in 20 minutes.  I’ll take it.

My daughter had to do a school project and needed some photos.  Sad thing was I couldn’t really find any of me.  I know I have been avoiding the camera but this is just sad.  When I get to my goal weight, I promise myself to get some pro pictures of me and the kids for our family albums.

I did find some photos of me when I was 26….will use those as my inspiration photos.  In my wedding photo, I was 107lbs.  Holy cow.  I won’t ever be that tiny again but 120 would be fabulous.  :)

I can do it.

Day 22

Entire family went to the gym last night again.  It was really nice to be all doing this together.  Son did weights with Andy and then a bit of cardio.  Daughter and I did cardio.

Almost can’t wear the clothes I bought for myself 2 months ago.

Yesterday was an easy day on the diet because I was teaching all day.  The only bad thing was we ate dinner too late (8pm).  Next time we need to either workout earlier or eat before we go (not sure how well that will work out).

Mom is still going strong…she’s been on it for over a month now and is down about 16 lbs.  She said she can’t seem to the break the 140 mark.  She’s only been stuck there for 2 days.  :)   Impatient we are.  I haven’t weighed myself so I have no idea how I’m doing weight wise, I just know my clothes are pretty darn baggy and I feel a LOT, LOT better.

My mom, sister and Brother-In-Law have all switched to Dr. Siegal’s cookies.  I guess they got frustrated with the $150 (each) monthly fee and Dr. visit when all they really did was weight them.  Seems like a lot to pay to be weighed each week.  Plus, I’m convinced Dr. Siegal’s cookies taste better.  :)

Day 18

Well, I finally did it.  I weighed myself over at my sister’s house.  I was shocked to see the scale number.  So this is how funny we are as women.  Everyone knows you weight the least right when you get up.  So my sister had weighed herself this am and she was 159.5 (I think that’s right).   When I went to her house she told me to get on the scale since she knows mine is broken and the funny story of the 189 thing.  I was like ‘no way..it’s the middle of the day, I have had tons of water, etc’.

So she says she will weigh herself again and we’ll know how much difference there is between first thing in the morning and middle of the day.  So she was 2 lbs heavier.  Ok…so now we know I can basically subtract 2lbs from whatever my weight would be.

So here it goes.  I step on and close my eyes, thinking that will help somehow.  I was just praying that I would be below 160.  That’s all I really wanted.  I opened my eyes and it showed 157.5!  yeah…so that means I’m probably right around 155.5.  Yeah..the lowest I have been in a long, long, time.  I figured I started out around 163..maybe even a bit higher.   Since I didn’t weight to begin with, it’s only guessing.  I’m going with 163 so that means I’m down about 7.5 lbs in 17 days.  That’s right on track.

YEAH FOR ME.

Day 8

Can hardly believe an entire week went by. I did it…I acutally did it. I’m pretty proud of myself for sticking to it even for this long. I just purchased 5 more weeks of cookies (a different brand) so I have committed to this thing. I felt great this evening..decided to go outside and get some excercise. Took the puppies roller-blading. It was fun.
