Day 22
Entire family went to the gym last night again. It was really nice to be all doing this together. Son did weights with Andy and then a bit of cardio. Daughter and I did cardio.
Almost can’t wear the clothes I bought for myself 2 months ago.
Yesterday was an easy day on the diet because I was teaching all day. The only bad thing was we ate dinner too late (8pm). Next time we need to either workout earlier or eat before we go (not sure how well that will work out).
Mom is still going strong…she’s been on it for over a month now and is down about 16 lbs. She said she can’t seem to the break the 140 mark. She’s only been stuck there for 2 days.
Impatient we are. I haven’t weighed myself so I have no idea how I’m doing weight wise, I just know my clothes are pretty darn baggy and I feel a LOT, LOT better.
My mom, sister and Brother-In-Law have all switched to Dr. Siegal’s cookies. I guess they got frustrated with the $150 (each) monthly fee and Dr. visit when all they really did was weight them. Seems like a lot to pay to be weighed each week. Plus, I’m convinced Dr. Siegal’s cookies taste better.

Day 18
Well, I finally did it. I weighed myself over at my sister’s house. I was shocked to see the scale number. So this is how funny we are as women. Everyone knows you weight the least right when you get up. So my sister had weighed herself this am and she was 159.5 (I think that’s right). When I went to her house she told me to get on the scale since she knows mine is broken and the funny story of the 189 thing. I was like ‘no way..it’s the middle of the day, I have had tons of water, etc’.
So she says she will weigh herself again and we’ll know how much difference there is between first thing in the morning and middle of the day. So she was 2 lbs heavier. Ok…so now we know I can basically subtract 2lbs from whatever my weight would be.
So here it goes. I step on and close my eyes, thinking that will help somehow. I was just praying that I would be below 160. That’s all I really wanted. I opened my eyes and it showed 157.5! yeah…so that means I’m probably right around 155.5. Yeah..the lowest I have been in a long, long, time. I figured I started out around 163..maybe even a bit higher. Since I didn’t weight to begin with, it’s only guessing. I’m going with 163 so that means I’m down about 7.5 lbs in 17 days. That’s right on track.
YEAH FOR ME.

Day 5
Well last night was the first night I was out and about and had to make a smart decision. I was stuck at the ice rink..imagine that. Well..I got caught without a plan. But I improvised and it worked out great. I ordered a chicken cesar salad and gave the salad part to a friend. The salad is actually very light, not your typical cesear with dressing smothering it. Also, they just take sliced chicken breast and lay it on the top of the salad which is nice so that it doesn’t get drenched in tons of dressing. So basically I had a very small amount of salad and a few nice large pieces of chicken. Yummy.
I will say that about 7pm I started suffering from a very bad headache. I have been getting headaches since day 1 of this journey and I’m getting a bit tired of them. They make me kind of cranky. I’m sure they are from the lack of all the bad stuff that I am no longer eating. White sugar, flour, etc.
I feel much better better this morning. I do feel like I’ve lost weight and my pants are definitely fitting better already. Maybe I will venture on the scale next Monday since I know that most people measure the succcess in lbs lost.
